WARUM HABT IHR DIESES KONZEPT?
Awareness heisst Achtsamkeit, Bewusstsein und Sensibilität. Das Royal ist keine Insel. Gesellschaftliche Machtverhältnisse wirken auch an unseren Konzerten und Parties. Im Ausgang sind BIPoC, FINTA*, LGBTQIA+ und Menschen mit Behinderung besonders betroffen von Diskriminierung aufgrund dieser Machtverhältnisse. Mit dem Awareness Konzept möchten wir einen Beitrag leisten zu einem kollektiven Lernprozess, der diesen Verhältnissen etwas entgegensetzt. In unserem Awareness Konzept geht es nicht um Kontrolle und Bevormundung, sondern um Empowerment, gemeinsames Engagement gegen Gewalt und Hass, und gegenseitige Fürsorge.
WAS IST DISKRIMINIERUNG?
Diskriminierung ist die Schlechterstellung von Einzelpersonen und Gruppen aufgrund von übergeordneten gesellschaftlichen Machtstrukturen. Dazu gehören Sexismus, Rassismus, Homofeindlichkeit, Transfeindlichkeit, Ableismus, Ageismus. Diskriminierung aller Art soll im Royal nicht geduldet werden, nicht vom Team, und auch nicht von den Besuchenden. Wir möchten, dass sich Alle daran beteiligen, dass Diskriminierung im Royal keinen Platz hat.
WIE STEHT IHR ZU ALKOHOL UND ANDEREN DROGEN?
Im Ausgang nehmen Menschen oft Substanzen zur Hilfe, um in Partystimmung zu kommen. Sie möchten aus ihrem üblichen Verhalten und Alltag ausbrechen. Wir vom Royal Team haben Verständnis für dieses Bedürfnis, aber wir möchten auch daran erinnern, dass dabei der Respekt vor gewissen Grenzen bestehen bleiben muss. Damit meinen wir insbesondere die persönlichen Grenzen von dir und den Personen um dich herum, sowohl körperliche als auch psychische Grenzen. Deine Freund*innen können dir dabei zur Seite stehen, oder auch das Royal Team.
WAS PASSIERT, WENN ICH MICH BEI ROYAL TEAM CARE MELDE?
Royal Team Care heisst, dass das Royal Team darauf achtet, dass alle sich wohlfühlen, und Unterstützung bietet wenn nötig. Wir möchten dich in allen Anliegen unterstützen, egal ob es um Beleidigung und Belästigung geht, oder wenn du einen Rückzugsort brauchst. Niemand muss sich dafür rechtfertigen oder erklären. Wir werden gemeinsam eine Lösung suchen und nichts ohne dein Einverständnis unternehmen. Was im Royal Team Care passiert, bleibt im Royal Team Care. Das Team setzt sich mit Awareness auseinander und lernt immer Neues dazu, auch von dir.
KANN ES ZU WEGWEISUNGEN KOMMEN?
Wenn jemensch die Grenzen Anderer absichtlich nicht respektiert oder beispielsweise aufgrund von Alkoholkonsum nicht mehr dazu in der Lage ist, dann kann es zu Wegweisungen kommen.

WHY DO YOU HAVE THIS CONCEPT?
Awareness means attentiveness, consciousness and sensitivity. Royal is not an island. Social power relations play as well at our concerts and parties. BIPoC, FINTA*, LGBTQIA+ and people with disabilities are especially affected by discrimination due to these power relations. With the awareness concept we want to contribute to a collective learning process that counters these relations. Our awareness concept is not about control and paternalism, but about empowerment, joint commitment against violence and hate, and mutual care.
WHAT IS DISCRIMINATION?
Discrimination is the placing of individuals and groups at a disadvantage due to overriding social power structures. This includes sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, Ableism, ageism. Discrimination of any kind should not be tolerated at the Royal, not by the team, and not by visitors. We want everyone to participate in making sure that discrimination has no place at Royal.
WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUGS?
When going out, people often use substances to get into the party mood. They want to break out of their usual behavior and everyday life. We at the Royal Team understand this need, but we also want to remind you to respect certain boundaries. By this we mean in particular the personal boundaries of you and the people around you, both physical and psychological boundaries. Your friends can help you with this, as well as the Royal Team.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I REPORT TO ROYAL TEAM CARE?
Royal Team Care will offer support when needed, whether it’s about offense or harassment, or when you need a place to retreat. No one has to justify or explain themselves. We will work together to find a solution and will do nothing without your consent. What happens at Royal Team Care stays there. The team deals with awareness and is always learning new things, including from you.
WILL YOU SEND PEOPLE AWAY?
If someone intentionally does not respect the boundaries of others or is no longer able to do so, for example, due to alcohol consumption, then it might happen, yes.
